Welcome to TopPaws.com. By using our website, mobile experience, or any of our services, you're agreeing to these Terms. They're written in plain English so you actually know what you're agreeing to. If something here doesn't work for you, please don't use the platform.

1. What TopPaws is

TopPaws is a creative platform for pet owners. You can make memes from your photos, generate AI-stylized photos, create AI animated videos from a single photo, upload your own pet videos, build a public profile for your pet, share to a community feed, rate other people's content with paw ratings, and leave comments. We use third-party services to make all of this work — Mux for video, Fal.ai and Google for AI generation, Supabase for storage and accounts, Stripe for payments, OpenAI for comment moderation.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google (and eventually Apple). One account per person. Don't share your account with anyone, don't impersonate other people, and don't create accounts for pets that aren't yours unless you have permission from the owner. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you spot something suspicious, contact us.

You must be at least 13 years old to use TopPaws. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian needs to be okay with it.

3. Your content stays your content

Anything you upload — photos, videos, memes, comments, AI-generated outputs — remains yours. You own it. We're not buying it or selling it.

That said, by uploading something to TopPaws you give us a non-exclusive license to host it, display it, transcode it, generate thumbnails from it, and (if you mark it public) show it on the community feed and your public profile page. This license only exists so we can technically make the platform work. The moment you delete something, our license to that piece of content ends.

4. AI-generated content

When you generate an AI photo or AI video on TopPaws, the AI creates something new based on your input photo. You own the AI output, the same way you'd own a photo you took with a camera you bought. You can download it, share it, post it elsewhere, even sell prints. We don't take any rights to your AI creations.

AI is imperfect. Sometimes it produces strange results, sometimes it produces something that isn't quite what you expected. We don't guarantee any specific output or quality level. If a generation doesn't look great, you can try again with a different style.

You agree not to use TopPaws to generate content that:

Depicts people without their permission
Is sexual, hateful, harassing, or incites violence
Includes copyrighted material you don't have rights to
Misleads people about real events
Targets minors inappropriately

We use automated moderation, and we may remove content that violates these rules without notice.

5. Community standards

TopPaws is for pet lovers. Be kind. The basics:

No harassment. Don't target people, attack pet owners, or pile on someone in comments.
No hate speech. Comments mentioning protected characteristics in a hateful way are blocked by our AI moderator and can result in account suspension.
No spam. Don't flood the community with promotions or repeated content.
No misrepresentation. Don't claim someone else's pet as yours.
Pets only. TopPaws is a pet platform. Posting unrelated content is grounds for removal.

We have an AI moderator that automatically reviews comments. We also have an admin team that can suspend or ban accounts and remove content at our discretion. Reports from users go to our moderation queue.

6. Subscriptions and credits

TopPaws has a free tier and paid tiers (Pro and Pro+). You can also buy one-time top-up packs of AI video credits. Subscriptions auto-renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your profile — see the Refund Policy for the details.

Free tier limits, Pro features, prices, and credit amounts are listed on our Pricing page. We may change these in the future, but if we change something material we'll give you advance notice and your existing subscription will continue under the original terms until your next renewal.

7. Things we don't allow

Doing any of these will get your account suspended or terminated:

Trying to reverse-engineer, scrape, or break the platform
Using bots or scripts to automate generations
Bulk-generating to abuse free tier limits
Selling or giving away your account
Claiming TopPaws-generated content was made entirely by hand for commercial work without disclosure (where required by law)
Anything illegal in your jurisdiction

8. We can make changes

TopPaws is actively developed. Features may change, get added, or get removed. Prices may change with notice. We may need to update these Terms — when we do, we'll post the new version with an updated date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the change.

9. We can't make promises about everything

TopPaws is provided "as is". We're a small team trying to make a great product, but we can't guarantee:

The site will always be available (Mux, Stripe, Supabase, Fal.ai, and Google all have to cooperate)
AI outputs will be perfect or specific
Your content will always be backed up — we recommend downloading anything important
Other users will always behave well (we moderate, but we can't catch everything in real time)

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, TopPaws is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you live somewhere where laws don't allow this kind of limitation, this section applies only to the extent permitted.
