Hi, I'm Sadie! I'm the softest, cutest little companion you'll ever meet-but don't let my fluffy looks fool you, I'm lightning fast and can be pretty tricky to catch! I love having plenty of space to climb, jump, and explore, and I'm happiest in a calm, quiet home where I feel safe and comfortable. A tasty treat and gentle patience are the quickest ways to win my heart. I thrive on a consistent routine and would love a family that understands the special care chinchillas need to stay happy and healthy. Do you think you could be the forever family I've been waiting for? ***CAGE AND ACCESSORIES NOT INCLUDED!*** Chinchillas can live 10-15 years, that's a long commitment! They require specialized care, and should be offered chinchilla pellets, hay, and wood they can chew on at all times. Hay mixes containing orchard grass, blue grass, timothy and alfalfa, make the best combination for a healthy chinchilla diet. Be sure the chinchilla's pellets are made for chinchillas (not made for other animal species such as rabbit or guinea pig). Be sure to keep your chinchilla in a location that does not get too warm, moist, or drafty. Their ideal housing temperature is between 50 and 60â. Chinchillas can overheat very easily so keep temperature in mind. As for a cage, chinchilla's are larger than most pet rodents and are very active (especially at night) for this reason it is important that their cage includes multiple levels, ramps, perches, and platforms.
