Name:  Wilmena       Best Guess for Breed:  Poodle mix    Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of July 2026         SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:   13 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.   Wilmena is Looking For:    Her forever home! This girl is in her prime as a young dog and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up - yes, on her own short little legs. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. (She also wants her new humans to know that she has that typical curly poodle-type coat which means she will need daily brushing and regular professional grooming.) Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say?
