Rescued from a shelter, he can be fearful when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations. When he's scared, he tends to cower, but despite his timid nature, he is incredibly sweet, kind, and accepting of affection. He enjoys being picked up, held, and showered with kisses.Samuel is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give him the time, positive reinforcement, and reassurance he needs to build confidence. Once he feels safe, his quiet and loving personality begins to shine. He truly thrives with another confident dog by his side and would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and a friendly canine companion to help show him that the world is a safe place. Samuel enjoys spending time outdoors during cooler weather, chewing on his favorite bones, solving puzzle toys, and relaxing with a treat mat. Samuel is: gentle, sweet, and affectionate, crate trained, potty trained,wonderful with other dogs and would do best with a confident canine sibling, expected to do well with cats, best suited for a home with older children, as younger children can be overwhelming for him.
