Meet Lucy — Shy Girl with Surprise Zoomies Lucy is a 2-year-old spayed Pit Bull mix who’s part of the shelter’s Shy Dog Program… but don’t let that title fool you—this girl has energy waiting to happen. She came in with her buddy Paul, but her “LET’S GO!!!” personality can be a bit much for his more introverted vibe. Out on walks, Lucy can be a little unsure at first and may need some gentle encouragement—but once she gets going, she does pretty well on leash. Think of her as someone who needs a quick pep talk before hitting the party. Once she’s comfortable? Total goofball. Lucy loves attention, petting, and especially booty scratches (seriously, that’s her love language). She’ll happily chase a ball… and then immediately celebrate with zoomies like she just won the Olympics. Lucy is friendly, playful, and still building confidence every day. She’d benefit from a training class to help her continue blossoming into her best self.
