Meet Alyce (with a Y )   Alyce is the definition of a hugger . If you sit down, she’s already on her way. If you even think about sitting down, she’s watching you, waiting for her moment. And once she’s on your lap? That’s it—you’re hers. She melts right into you, wraps herself around you, and will even tilt her head to look up at you with the most loving, adoring eyes like you are her entire world.   She came to us after her elderly owner passed away, and it’s clear she was deeply loved and used to being someone’s constant companion.   Because of that big life change, Alyce will need a little adjustment period in a new home. I’m happy to talk through what that looks like and how to help her settle in successfully—she just needs patience and consistency as she learns her new routine.   Alyce can coexist with other cats, but she prefers her personal space—especially when she’s settled in for snuggles. She may give a quick “don’t disturb” reminder if another cat gets too close, but she responds well to reassurance and guidance. Because of this, she would likely do best as an only cat or with a calm, respectful feline who understands her boundaries.   What Alyce needs most is simple: someone who wants a shadow, a snuggle partner, and a full-time lap cat.   She’s not independent.
